Since then, the journey has unfolded in many ways. The Journal has traveled from hand to hand in countries we’ve never been — and with us, in our backpacks, as we continued exploring across the globe. With a deep desire to experience true community — and to even understand what that means — we volunteered with many different NGOs in all corners of the world.

In time, the longing for real connection became our most faithful companion.

 

Unfolded is growing into a Community.

 

We belong in a circle of humans —
where eyes meet,
where touch and movement are welcomed as forms of communication,
where art is honored, wisdom is shared,
and listening matters more than speaking.
Where nature is our medicine,
and the love of the divine, our source.

Unfolded’s creative spirit kept dreaming —
asking where to plant, when to water, and what to grow.
It envisioned new ways of gathering —
not just virtually,
but in real, shared spaces.

While traveling the world, birthing two children,
and nurturing fresh ideas,
every experience has shaped Unfolded —
adding new layers of meaning
to what it is, and what it’s becoming.
